About Sandy Walden

Profile Sandy Walden

I've been married since 1982 to John who is a great guy and a true gentleman with an amazing sense of humor... which is why we are still married. Together we have raised three sons, whom we are so proud of! Since these boys have all grown they are of course on their own these days. That leaves us much more time to devote to our funny, silly dog, Indy.

Over the years I have learned much about myself and others. I have come to realize that we are all very different, we have different goals and will all travel different paths. Most of all I have come to believe that we can and do shape our lives with our thoughts and intentions. We cannot change what we did yesterday, but we can move on and make today and tomorrow fabulous.

I have been fortunate enough to start and run a successful business for years. I know what it takes; tenacity, assertiveness and confidence to get a business off the ground. More important, it takes devotion to clients and desire to have clients receive exactly what they truly want and need to keep a business successful.

On a personal basis, I realize that family and friends are important to all of us. These relationships are constantly changing and they need to be nurtured in order to stay healthy. And I have come to realize that it's not selfish to take care of myself. While my boys were very young I thought that taking time out for myself, that precious 15 minute bubble-bath was a selfish act. As they grew I realized that short time helped me relax, keep my sanity and that I was a much calmer, happier wife and mom if I took the time out for myself. The fact is, the only way I can be of service to anyone is to take excellent care of myself, so I take walks, read, practice Reiki, connect with friends and loved ones. In short I take very good care of myself, and I am able to take much better care of others as a result.

That's me in a nutshell. It is my intention to share what I've learned with others, to help others find the serenity and joy in their lives that I have found.

The Acorn Journal: Messages of Connection from The Other Side

When someone we love has died, we miss them. We wonder where they are now. Are they alright? Can they see and hear us or are we disconnected forever? We long for a sign that death is not the end; that someday we will meet again.

After the devastating loss of their youngest son to suicide, the Walden's had these same thoughts and questions. This book is about the confirmation they received in a most joyful way. It is full of love and hope and needs to be read by everybody who has lost a loved one.
